It’s time for small towns across the country (population less than 150,000) to rally support for Rand McNally and USA TODAY’s Best of the Road competition. The 2012 campaign currently showcases 450 towns that have been nominated by locals, 23 of which are in Florida, including Monticello! The nomination and voting period ends May 15, and will determine 30 finalist towns, which will be visited and judged by six road-warrior teams. Eventually, one town will prevail in each of five categories, including: Most Beautiful, Most Patriotic,
Friendliest, Most Fun and Best for Food.
  • To vote and/or nominate your favorite Florida small town visit BestOfTheRoad.com. You may have to make a username and password to vote. It only takes a few minutes and it's free!

  • A search window will appear, type in Monticello Florida then click "Search"
